ESTABLISHING AN ONLINE PRESENCE

E

very business needs to establish an online presence these days. A website acts as a tool for validating your company's existence almost in the way your driver's license confirms your personal identity- just digitally.

Sometimes it seems frustrating to invest in a website if it's unclear exactly what it's doing to help your business.

Understanding things like:

·      How will I know whether anyone is visiting my website?

·      How can I get my website in front of more people?

·      How do I engage with these visitors?

For companies without a clear and consistent marketing plan, it can be fairly impossible to answer these questions. Follow along the next few pages to learn how On Point Solutions went from unanswered questions to understanding results.

On Point Solutions- A Case Study

TAKING CONTROL

On Point Solutions consults with and sells equipment to metal fabrication manufacturers. Based out of Wisconsin, the company has a service region extending across the Southeastern United States.

The company's existing website was built on a proprietary platform of a previously contracted marketing agency. This meant On Point had little control of website updates and no access to website traffic data to help On Point understand how its website was working.

On Point Solutions decided to update its website and take control. We teamed together to rebuild a similar website using SquareSpace, and then implement a cohesive marketing strategy to drive website traffic. With all the data in one dashboard, On Point could actually get excited about real results.

THE CHALLENGE

How will we create website traffic that matters?

With more control over its website and data and its fingertips, On Point was ready to see significant improvements in generating website traffic to impact its bottom line.

We added a search bar to the site so that new traffic could find exactly what they had come looking for, allowing the website to create a nurturing brand relationship from start.

Previously, On Point's marketing efforts were fairly erratic. Working with the Steel Mountain team, On Point focused on creating a consistent and specific strategy to drive traffic and generate data for key decisions to increase results.

The key pieces of that strategy include:

·      Consistent social media posting, using Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn

·      Regular e-mail marketing with strategic website links

·      Paid social ads

THE RESULTS

THOUSANDS OF VISITORS BUILDING A PIPELINE

We relied on organic results in the early weeks of our strategy, learning more about our audiences and establishing our consistency.

As a result, we saw a reliably consistent level of traffic visiting our website on a monthly basis. In March, we added paid advertising to boost that foundational work, with an impressive peak in relevant traffic.

BOTTOM LINE?

A consistent, specific marketing strategy allowed us to monitor website traffic and make informed decisions to drive more visitors to our website, ultimately helping our business success.
