HEADED TO FABTECH? HERE’S 4 MARKETING TIPS TO FOR EXPO SUCCESS

H

eaded to FABTECH? We are, too! There’s more to making this expo work for your company than just showing up, though. What exactly does that look like?

Expert Marketing Tips for Expo Success

Let people know you’re going to be there! Communicate, communicate, communicate. Tell your current customers, send an email to your mailing list, post a temporary note on your website, share about it on social media and tab FABTECH. The more places your participation is known, the more likely you are to come to mind as a target destination booth for visitors.

Think about the key message. Think about something that might be timely or unique, that people don’t know about your company - and use this as a time to shine light on that. You will be connecting with hundreds of people you don’t typically have access to; use this opportunity to really make an impression.

Have genuine conversations. The more you learn about someone during the expo, the better you can understand whether this person is actually a lead - and then how likely they are to turn into a sale. If you engage in genuine conversations about their business goals, timelines and what it takes to get there - you’re better able to showcase how you fit into that puzzle.

Don’t forget your follow up plan. Contact information is key! Have an easy way for people to opt-in to an email list or leave a phone number if they are interested in a quote. Maybe you prefer tech and use a tablet, maybe it’s traditional paper - but have it on hand. Then, make sure you follow up in a timely manner with information relevant to your conversations at the expo.

About FABTECH, straight from it’s website: “Known as North America’s largest metal forming, fabrication, welding and finishing event, FABTECH is a convenient ‘one-stop shop’ venue where you can meet with world-class suppliers, see the latest industry products and developments, find the tools to improve productivity, and increase profits.”

This year’s FABTECH expo runs from Sept. 13 through Sept. 16 at the McCormick Place in Chicago. Will we see you there? Send us a note if you’re coming, we’d love to meet up!
